At the Table is a political action committee committed to supporting and empowering people from traditionally under-served communities to run for federal office.
As First Lady Michelle Obama said, “Barack knows the American Dream because he’s lived it…and he wants everyone in this country to have that same opportunity, no matter who we are, or where we’re from, or what we look like, or who we love. And he believes that when you’ve worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity…you do not slam it shut behind you…you reach back, and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed.”
At the Table has been created with this sentiment as both its foundation and its guiding light. We will create opportunities for our next generation of leaders regardless of ethnicity, sex, or socioeconomic status. Every voice matters in our national discourse and every voice must be heard.
At the Table stands unwavering in its mission to challenge the status quo and works tirelessly to ensure everyone has a seat at the table. Together, we will embark on this journey–pursuing my lifelong goal–to encourage robust participation and the free exchange of ideas, so that we may better serve our communities and our nation.
At the Table supports candidates for federal office who have demonstrated a track record of empowering our next generation. It is steadfast in its core mission to support federal candidates who have opened the door–and have reached back to help others step through.
